Microlot - Bold, Sweet and Juicy Coffee

Blackberry, Red Apple, Brown Sugar

This coffee hails from the renowned Narino region, nestled near the Ecuadorian border—a breathtaking landscape of towering mountains and volcanic soil. Narino is home to numerous smallholder coffee-producing families.

Among them is Hacienda El Obraje, owned by Mr. Pablo Guerrero, a pioneer in cultivating world-class coffee since 2009. His farm is equipped with cutting-edge processing and cultivation techniques, including high-altitude coffee trees planted at 2300 meters, setting a precedent for others in the region.

This lot, consisting of the Caturra variety, underwent meticulous washed processing at El Obraje mill. The cherries are initially fermented for 20 hours in the same bags used for harvesting. After pulping, the coffee undergoes an additional 24-hour dry fermentation before a thorough washing. Finally, it is dried for an average of 16 days on raised beds.

Taste Profile
This coffee presents a balanced and refined profile, showcasing sweetness and pronounced fruitiness. Its lively acidity and intricate depth create a comforting yet sophisticated experience that captivated us.
