Traditional Craftsmanship Meets Modern Durability.
Crafted from "Re-stone リストーン" and designed for matcha preparation, this bowl combines durability, elegance, and traditional tea ceremony aesthetics.
This product was developed in collaboration between ORIGAMI and Saten Japanese Tea. It is designed to hold a capacity suitable for one to two servings of standard matcha (thin tea 薄茶). The rounded base facilitates efficient brewing and whisking, allowing for a smooth preparation of matcha, and is also ideal for quickly mixing smaller portions of matcha or thick tea, such as those used in matcha lattes.
The gently tapered rim enhances grip and control when pouring, while also ensuring that the liquid remains inside the bowl during preparation, minimising spills and contributing to a refined texture in the matcha.
Crafted from a new stone-like material known as "Re-stone リストーン", this piece is durable enough for professional use. The combination of this robust material and a warm matte glaze evokes the traditional atmosphere of the tea ceremony, while adding a tactile, handcrafted quality to the design.
