A glass server designed to preserve aroma
A closed-lid glass coffee server designed to control aroma, flow, and extraction through form, not gimmicks.
This glass coffee server is built around a simple idea: brewing should protect aroma, guide extraction, and remain intuitive. Through a closed-lid system and sculpted internal geometry, it supports clarity, balance, and consistency in manual coffee brewing.
Closed-Lid Brewing for Aroma Control
Unlike open servers, this design allows coffee to brew under a lid, reducing the loss of volatile aromatic compounds during extraction. Aromas are retained inside the vessel and released when the lid is opened, allowing clearer perception of layered fragrances during serving.

Spiral Interior Geometry for Flow Guidance
The inner wall features a wave-like spiral texture inspired by natural water movement. As brewed coffee enters the server, it follows this curved surface rather than dropping directly to the base. This guided flow helps distribute liquid more evenly, supporting stable extraction and minimising turbulence.

Gentle Agitation Through Intentional Movement
The server’s reinforced base and handle geometry allow for light swirling during brewing. This gentle agitation promotes mixing without aggressive stirring, helping dissolve aromatic compounds while maintaining clarity and structure in the cup.
Ergonomic Handle and Controlled Pouring
The handle is shaped to remain comfortable and stable even when the glass is hot. Its position supports confident lifting, swirling, and pouring, while the angled spout ensures a clean, controlled flow when serving.

Designed as a Complete Brewing System
The server is intended to function as part of a modular setup, compatible with multiple drippers. A dedicated placement cup acts as both stand and organiser, keeping the brewing area clean and composed during use.

Bringing Contemporary Chinese Design into Filter Coffee Brewing
Founded in 1996, DragonFly Design Centre 清庭設計 is a design-led brand built around the vision of founder and creative director Jeff Dayu Shi (石大宇). Rooted in contemporary design inspired by Chinese culture, the brand has developed a distinctive language that brings together craftsmanship, symbolism, and practical innovation across lifestyle and coffee objects alike.

Inspired by Culture, Designed for Brewing
For DragonFly, coffee equipment is more than a brewing tool — it is a meeting point of culture, form, and sensory experience. Their filter coffee designs often draw from traditional Chinese visual references while translating them into modern brewing objects with strong functionality. The result is a collection of drippers and servers that feel both expressive and purposeful, made for brewers who value character as much as cup quality.

Precision in Filter Coffee Design
DragonFly’s coffee line is especially known for its thoughtfully engineered manual brewing drippers. The CT62 Coffee Dripper, designed by Jeff Dayu Shi together with Jake Yuan Cheng Hu of Taster’s Coffee, features a 62-degree cone angle, a structured groove system, and a design intended to promote more stable flow, reduce clogging, and support even extraction. It uses standard V60 01/02 filter papers, making it approachable for both professionals and home brewers

Where Aesthetics Meet Performance
What makes DragonFly stand out is the way it approaches coffee equipment as both a functional brewer and a design object. The surfaces, textures, and structural details are not merely decorative; they are integrated into how the brewer manages water flow and extraction. This balance of beauty and brewing performance gives DragonFly a unique place in the specialty coffee world, especially for those drawn to original drippers with a strong identity.
Recognised in the Coffee and Design World
DragonFly’s brewing designs have gained international attention not only for their visual language, but also for their technical thoughtfulness. The CT62 has been described as a dripper that combines cultural inspiration with functional brewing design, and DragonFly’s newer coffee pieces — including the rock ’n’ dew coffee server and Tri-Spin dripper series — were recognised by the German Design Award 2026 for their combination of aroma-focused design, extraction control, and user experience.
A Distinct Voice in Specialty Filter Coffee
From drippers to servers, DragonFly Design Center brings a different perspective to specialty coffee: one that is deeply design-conscious, culturally rooted, and focused on elevating the ritual of hand brewing. Their coffee equipment speaks to brewers who appreciate not only clarity and control in the cup, but also the meaning and beauty of the tools they use every day.
