The Eco-Friendly Solution for Specialty Coffee Brewing

Crafted from non-wood material Manila hemp and mixed with wood pulp, the Cafec Abaca Paper Filter boasts excellent breathability, liquid permeability, and elasticity for a smooth coffee brewing experience. Thanks to its innovative 2-side crepe feature, it offers a reduced risk of blockages during brewing, preserving the aroma of your specialty coffee.

Not only is this filter paper tough and strong - it is also 4 times stronger but 2 times thinner than normal wood materials, making it a sustainable and biodegradable choice. It's even authorised by the Japan Hand-Drip Championship for the ultimate seal of approval.

Designed for use with the Cafec Flower Dripper, the Abaca Paper Filter is also compatible with other conical drippers like the Origami Dripper, Kōno Dripper, and Hario V60. The greatest treasure for the Filipinos

Abaca, also known as Manila hemp, is a non-wood and environmentally friendly material made for the afforestation projects. It is eco-friendly because it has a short planting time and can be planted in large quantities without using chemical fertilizers or pesticides. Abaca replaces the use of wood and reduces forest consumption and environmental burden.

Abaca greatly reduces soil erosion and facilitates biodiversity restoration in tropical rainforest and it minimizes sedimentation problems in coastal areas. As the soil is able to retain more water, flooding and landslides will be better prevented. Abaca waste can even be used as an organic fertilizer.

For Filipinos, Abaca means hope. Many families and lives were saved by the working opportunities provided by the Abaca project. Look at how this woman's life was changed by Abaca:

    Nice flow

Only type of filter I tend to use. Nice flow for brewing your coffee and do not tend to tear.

Excellent filters, the best I've tried in ages

Excellent Filters. They are significantly better than the Hario v60 filters. They are much faster draining than the Hario tabbed filters and therefore, I find changing the grind size makes the difference whereas before it would clog and not drain. So it's much easier to dial in a brew. I usually brew light or medium roast coffees. I find they are particularly good for my light roast with good sweetness as well as balanced acidity.
