Serve your coffee in the OTEMAE way
OTEMAE おてまえ, also known as the Japanese “Way of the Tea” (茶道), means the ritual of Japanese tea ceremony. The spirit of OTEMAE is wholeheartedly put into the preparation, gesture and presentation, so that our guests can enjoy the cup to the fullest.
Pour the hand-drip coffee into the OTEMAE MAROMU Bowl and stir with the Chasen to let the air in. When the air mixes with the coffee, it becomes mellow.
The "foam" formed in the OTEMAE way are natural oil in coffee that is foamed by carbon dioxide, also known as “crema” for espresso. It is also a sign that the coffee is freshly roasted.
The coffee is then poured into the OTEMAE TASHINAMU Cup. The shape of the flavour cup firmly confines the aroma and holds it along the mouth, and is designed so that the coffee reaches the sweet spot on the tongue that feels mellow. Holding the cup in your hands allows you to enjoy your coffee in the tastiest way.

Returns
Our policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we can’t offer you a refund or exchange.
To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.
Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. Perishable goods such as food and coffee beans cannot be returned.
We reserve the right to refuse any exchange or returns requests.
