In these moments, baristas seek cupping spoons that eliminate unnecessary distractions. Focus all your senses on assessing the coffee before you. At that point, simplicity is key. The design should not obstruct the barista's senses but instead enhance them. ORIGAMI set out to create such an ideal cupping spoon.
Minimizes any Discrepancy in Mouthfeel
Taste is highly sensitive and can be influenced by the tableware that comes in contact with the mouth. By using porcelain, the same material as the cup, during cupping, you can more accurately judge the coffee's taste while maintaining a consistent mouthfeel.
Ergonomic Oval Handle
Designed for effortless cupping, ORIGAMI's cupping spoon features an elliptical cross-section. Paired with the smooth texture of ceramics, it feels like it naturally adheres to your fingers. The handle can be held without exerting much force, reducing hand fatigue. Its ideal size ensures comfort for baristas with hands of all sizes.
Designed to Avoid Cup Interference
The clinking of the spoon against the cup during cupping can create noise, especially with multiple spoons in use, and may cause damage. This spoon is designed to avoid contact with the cup, enabling swift and efficient cupping. Through trial and error, a shape with a larger angle than a typical spoon was developed. Its distinctive, ladle-like design ensures stress-free cupping.

Available in two colours: black and white. Choose white if you want to assess the colour of the liquid as part of the tasting experience. Opt for black if you prefer a more blind tasting approach. Select according to your needs and preferences.

Please note that our shipping days are limited to Monday through Friday, excluding holidays which fall on Saturday and Sunday.
For orders placed outside of the European Union, the prices listed are exclusive of VAT. The Brexit Transition Period officially ended on December 31, 2020, resulting in new regulations governing sales between the United Kingdom and the European Union as of January 1, 2021. The United Kingdom is no longer considered part of the EU region, and therefore, orders from the UK will be subject to pricing exclusive of VAT.

Returns
Within the EU, you can return any order* within 14 days (14-day cooling-off period) without providing a reason, and you will receive a full refund, inclusive of the shipping cost to an EU destination.
Beyond the initial 14 days, you may typically request a partial or potentially full refund. Our return policy spans 30 days, accounting for holidays. Please note that shipping costs will not be refunded in such cases after 14-day cooling-off period.
If 30 days have passed since your purchase, regrettably, we cannot offer a refund or exchange.
*To be eligible for a return, the item must be unused and in the same condition as received, including its original packaging.
The seller will cover the cost of return postage only if the item is damaged, faulty, or doesn't match the listing description.
For other reasons, the buyer is responsible for returning the product at their expense.
Kindly note that certain goods, such as perishable items like food and coffee beans, are exempt from return.
