Designed for smooth matcha preparation and pouring, the Katakuchi Matcha Bowl New Edition combines functional precision, artisanal texture, and modern durability.
Developed as an updated expression of ORIGAMI Tea’s Katakuchi Matcha Bowl, this piece retains the ease of use loved in the original while introducing a more craft-inspired finish. The glaze now extends all the way to the rim, giving the bowl a richer character and a more expressive handmade feel.
The rounded interior base supports smooth whisking without interrupting the movement of the chasen, making it suitable both for preparing everyday matcha and for mixing thicker matcha for drinks such as matcha lattes. The pouring spout has been refined through repeated adjustments to help guide the liquid smoothly to the very last drop while reducing dripping, making it especially practical for serving matcha-based beverages with precision.
Whether paired with milk for a matcha latte or with soda for a refreshing matcha soda, this bowl is designed to support a wide range of modern matcha preparation styles while preserving the comfort and familiarity of traditional use.
Made with the strength required for dishwasher-safe durability, it is well suited not only for cafés and tea shops, but also for daily use at home. Each piece is finished with kiln-altered glaze, creating natural variation in tone, texture, and expression that adds to its individual charm.

Please note that our shipping days are limited to Monday through Friday, excluding holidays which fall on Saturday and Sunday.
For orders placed outside of the European Union, the prices listed are exclusive of VAT. The Brexit Transition Period officially ended on December 31, 2020, resulting in new regulations governing sales between the United Kingdom and the European Union as of January 1, 2021. The United Kingdom is no longer considered part of the EU region, and therefore, orders from the UK will be subject to pricing exclusive of VAT.

Returns
Within the EU, you can return any order* within 14 days (14-day cooling-off period) without providing a reason, and you will receive a full refund, inclusive of the shipping cost to an EU destination.
Beyond the initial 14 days, you may typically request a partial or potentially full refund. Our return policy spans 30 days, accounting for holidays. Please note that shipping costs will not be refunded in such cases after 14-day cooling-off period.
If 30 days have passed since your purchase, regrettably, we cannot offer a refund or exchange.
*To be eligible for a return, the item must be unused and in the same condition as received, including its original packaging.
The seller will cover the cost of return postage only if the item is damaged, faulty, or doesn't match the listing description.
For other reasons, the buyer is responsible for returning the product at their expense.
Kindly note that certain goods, such as perishable items like food and coffee beans, are exempt from return.
